Discovery Palawan Completes Renovation

Discovery Palawan Completes $1.5 Million Renovation.

Year–round dive cruising in the Philippines

Built in 1972 in Groningen, Holland as a three-mast schooner cruising the Caribbean with well heeled tourists, she was later rebuilt as a navigation training ship.

The ship was refitted in 2006 and moved to the Philippines to serve as an adventure cruise ship, equipped with a new and more powerful engine and all modern navigational equipment.

In 2013 she underwent a USD 1.5 million renovation to give her interior a more modern look.

She is now under Filipino ownership and renamed Discovery Palawan and offers “divers only” cruises to Tubbataha during late March to Mid June. With her ice-classed, heavy hull, she is the most stable and comfortable live-aboard in the Tubbataha fleet.
